The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major boost for unemployed youth by releasing a job calendar with 10,060 vacancies on the occasion of Ugadi. Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh unveiled the calendar on X, not only listing the vacancies but also specifying notification dates—marking a significant change from previous years. A total of 41 notifications will be issued in four phases to fill these posts, with most recruitments conducted through Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, except for DSC and police jobs. The recruitment process will begin with a notification for 1,500 Associate and Assistant Professor posts in universities on May 15, including a screening test similar to the 2018 pattern.
The highest number of vacancies is in the School Education Department (3,004 posts), followed by the Home Department (2,778 posts). The DSC notification for 2,535 teacher posts will be released on October 15, covering SGT, School Assistant, and special categories like music, art, craft, and dance teachers. Minister Lokesh stated that the government has fulfilled its Ugadi promise made during the Yuvagalam padayatra, assuring that job calendars will now be released annually. Additionally, the “Naipunyam” portal has been developed to provide real-time job alerts based on candidates’ qualifications, including future central, state, and private job opportunities.
