

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is attending the World Economic Forum summit in Davos, held a crucial meeting on the first day with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri. The discussions focused on strengthening the economic partnership between Andhra Pradesh and the United Arab Emirates. The UAE minister agreed to collaborate with Andhra Pradesh’s food processing sector through the Dubai Food Cluster and assured support in facilitating nearly 40 UAE-based companies to establish operations in the state.
The Chief Minister briefed the minister on investment opportunities in food security, logistics, port-based industries, renewable energy, urban development, tourism, and infrastructure sectors. Discussions were also held on Sharaf Group’s proposal to set up a multi-modal logistics park in Andhra Pradesh, establishing a modern construction unit in Amaravati using light gauge steel framing technology, development of large-scale port terminals and logistics infrastructure with DP World, and setting up a floating storage and regasification unit through ADNOC. The proposed Lulu Group mega shopping mall in Visakhapatnam was also reviewed. Expressing optimism, the Chief Minister stated that strategic cooperation with the UAE would accelerate industrial growth, employment generation, and exports in Andhra Pradesh. The UAE minister responded positively, assuring full cooperation from the UAE government and leading companies. Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Ministers Nara Lokesh and TG Bharat attended the meeting.
