Tirumala: AP government sets up a single-member committee on adulterated ghee

The government has constituted a one-member committee to probe the alleged adulteration of ghee used in Tirumala laddu preparation. The panel, headed by retired IAS officer Dinesh Kumar, has been tasked with conducting a detailed inquiry and submitting its report within 45 days.

The committee will examine the irregularities in ghee procurement tenders of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Officials stated that necessary recommendations will be made to prevent recurrence of such incidents and to safeguard devotees’ trust in the temple administration.
