A shocking incident occurred at Tully Airport in Queensland, Australia. A skydiver named Adrian Ferguson prepared to jump from a height of 15,000 feet, but his parachute got stuck in the tail of the aircraft. He was left hanging dangerously in mid-air for a while, struggling for his life.
Although the incident happened two months ago, Australian authorities released the video recently and it has now gone viral online. There were 17 people on board at the time — 16 were skydivers who planned to perform a “16-way formation jump,” while one person stayed to record the event. Unfortunately, Ferguson’s parachute got caught in the plane’s tail. Staying calm under pressure, he used a small knife to cut the tangled section and opened his reserve parachute, landing safely with only minor injuries to his legs.
The pilot, who made a ‘Mayday call,’ was ready to use an emergency parachute, but since the aircraft remained stable, it was safely landed at Tully. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has now released both the investigation report and the spine-chilling video.
