Amidst escalating political tensions in Venezuela, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued a crucial travel advisory. It has advised Indian citizens against traveling to Venezuela unless absolutely necessary. Officials stated that the security situation there has become even more complex following the US detention of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The External Affairs Ministry has advised Indians already in Venezuela to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel. It also urged them to stay in constant contact with the Indian Embassy in Caracas, monitor official information regarding the local situation, and take necessary precautions.
