Telangana Schools to Operate Half-Day from March 16 Amid Rising Temperatures!

The Telangana School Education Department has announced half-day schools across the State from March 15 to April 23 in view of the rising temperatures. According to officials, all schools, irrespective of their management, will function from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm during this period. Government and local body schools will serve the mid-day meal to students at around 12:30 pm before sending them home.

Schools designated as centres for the SSC Public Examinations will operate from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm as the examinations will be conducted in the morning session. In government schools hosting Class X examination centres, the mid-day meal will be served first, followed by classes. After the completion of the examinations, these schools will function normally from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Summer vacation will begin on April 24 and continue until June 11, while schools will reopen for the academic year 2026–27 on June 12.
