

The counting of offerings collected through hundis during Sammakka–Saralamma Jatara 2026 has commenced at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Hanumakonda. The process is being carried out under the supervision of Endowments Department officials and members of the service committee. A total of 828 hundis were installed for the jatara, including 780 iron hundis, 45 cloth hundis, and three rice hundis, officials said.
On the first day, 125 hundis were opened and counted, generating an income of Rs 2.49 crore. The cash was handed over to bank officials in the presence of supervisory authorities. Gold and silver offerings have been stored separately in secured iron chests, while coin counting is yet to begin. Officials stated that the remaining hundis will be counted in phases, ensuring transparency and smooth conduct of the process.
