The strike called by the Telangana RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) for resolving issues and fulfilling demands continued for the second consecutive day. With employees staying away from duties, buses remained confined to depots. As a result, the RTC management deployed hired and private buses across Hyderabad and other districts to maintain limited services. No services operated from major bus stations like MGBS and JBS in Hyderabad.
Passengers, unaware of the strike, continued to arrive at bus stations and were left waiting for hours. With no RTC buses available, many were forced to rely on private travel operators, autos, and cabs. Services from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra continued from MGBS. The strike has caused severe inconvenience to commuters, including employees, students, and daily wage workers, as private operators have increased fares. Police security has been deployed at RTC depots across districts, while workers have stated that the strike will continue until their demands are addressed.
