Pakistan once again attempted to disrupt peace and security along the border by using drones to drop weapons inside Indian territory. However, the alert Border Security Force successfully foiled the conspiracy and prevented a major security threat. The incident highlights Pakistan’s continued efforts to destabilise the region through cross-border activities using drone technology.
According to officials, suspicious drone movement was detected in the early hours of Friday in the Samba sector of Jammu along the International Border. Acting swiftly, BSF personnel launched a search operation near Flora village, during which a packet containing three pistols, one grenade, 16 live rounds, and three pistol magazines was recovered. Security forces have intensified searches in the area to ascertain whether more weapons or narcotics were dropped. Intelligence agencies are investigating the intended recipients and the terror network behind the consignment, as Pakistan has been repeatedly using drones to push arms and drugs into India.
