

A tragic road accident occurred early Thursday on the Kattipudi National Highway in Kakinada district, resulting in one person being burnt alive and two others injured. According to the police, a container carrying Aqua meth was traveling from Bhimavaram to Moolapeta when it collided with another container transporting cotton waste bundles from Kolkata to Chennai at Kattipudi Junction.
The impact caused a fire, completely destroying the front sections of both containers. The cotton lorry driver, Kamal Shaik (43), was burnt alive in the incident, while two others sustained injuries. Firefighters rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. The driver was identified as a resident of Kolkata, confirmed CI Surya Apparao from Prattipadu. Case registration and investigation are underway under the supervision of Annvaram SI Sriharibabu.
