

This meaningful initiative is being undertaken by his wife Smt. Syamala Devi Uppalapati, who continues to carry forward his legacy by translating his values of service and compassion into sustained public health action. Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Syamala Devi Uppalapati said, “This camp reflects Krishnam Raju garu’s lifelong belief that service to people is the highest form of responsibility. Through these annual initiatives, we hope to bring timely care, dignity, and hope to every diabetic patient who needs it."
The camp is being organized by the UK–India Diabetic Foot Foundation, under the guidance of renowned diabetic foot surgeon Sri Dr. Venu Kavarthapu (MBBS, FRCS Tr & Orth, King’s College Hospital, London), with the participation of 32 well-known doctors from various countries and major cities across India. The camp will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The event will be attended by the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, who will grace the occasion and express support for the initiative aimed at strengthening access to diabetic foot care.
Following the overwhelming success of the previous two annual mega camps held at Mogalthur and Bhimavaram, which benefited a large number of diabetic patients and received an excellent public response, this year’s camp seeks to extend the same quality of specialized care to the Khammam region. Patients experiencing diabetic foot-related problems such as foot cracks, sores, wounds or loss of sensation are encouraged to attend the mega medical camp being conducted at Sri Rasthu Function Hall, Dendukuru, Madhira, Khammam District. Diabetes diagnostic tests will be conducted free of cost.
Required medicines will be provided free of cost.
