Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally ended their long wait for IPL glory by lifting the IPL 2026 trophy. Captain Rajat Patidar expressed his delight after receiving the silverware, calling it a dream moment in his career. He praised the team’s bowlers for their consistent performances throughout the tournament and credited thorough planning for the title-winning campaign. Patidar also thanked RCB supporters, saying their presence across venues made every ground feel like home for the team.
Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill reflected on the defeat, stating that a total of around 180-190 runs could have made the contest much more competitive. He admitted that early wickets affected the team’s momentum and put pressure on the batting unit. Despite the loss, Gill praised his side’s bowling performances during the season and highlighted the team’s strong comeback after a difficult start to the tournament. He added that there are always areas to improve, regardless of the final result.
