

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conducted a high-level review meeting at RTGS in Amaravati on the LPG supply situation in the state. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Sai Prasad, along with representatives from petroleum companies such as GAIL and ONGC, participated in the meeting. The Chief Minister stated that the state currently has around 14,000 metric tonnes of LPG reserves, with additional supplies expected shortly.
He assured that there is no shortage of LPG in the state and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted supply to hospitals, hostels, and temples. The Chief Minister emphasized the need to prevent panic among the public by curbing diversion of gas cylinders through eKYC and OTP mechanisms. He also instructed authorities to explore alternative options, increase availability of induction stoves, and improve production and distribution efficiency. Additionally, he stressed expanding city gas distribution networks and utilizing natural gas from the KG Basin to enhance PNG and CNG usage across the state.
