Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu called upon people to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and follow the path shown by Him. He stated that the present state government has extended welfare measures and economic support to the Christian community. The Chief Minister participated in the Semi-Christmas celebrations organised by the state government at the A Plus Convention in Vijayawada. As part of the celebrations, he cut the Christmas cake, shared it with religious leaders, and later lit candles along with them.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said it was a pleasure to take part in the Christmas festivities. He noted that Christmas marks the birth of Jesus Christ and is one of the world’s greatest festivals. Describing it as a sacred day that became a celebration for all humanity, he said Jesus’ message of love, peace, and service continues to guide the world. He urged everyone to follow the teachings and path of Christ, highlighting that Jesus, born in a humble manger and raised as a shepherd, dedicated His life to the welfare of the people. He added that Christ’s willingness to sacrifice even His life for His beliefs should inspire everyone to walk on the path of peace, nurture love, stay away from jealousy and hatred, and practise forgiveness, as taught in the Bible.
