Motorists formed long queues at several petrol pumps across Chennai, creating heavy rush at fuel stations. Areas such as Velachery, T. Nagar, and Anna Nagar witnessed a large number of vehicles waiting in line to refuel.

Despite officials clarifying that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel, many people continued to crowd the fuel stations out of concern. The unexpected rush led to long waiting times, with motorists lining up at pumps across several parts of the city.
