With the Sammakka–Saralamma Jatara underway in Medaram, an unprecedented surge of devotees has led to severe traffic congestion on major routes. Vehicles were stranded for several kilometres on the Warangal–Medaram highway, Eturunagaram routes, and the Pasra–Tadwai stretch, causing long delays for pilgrims.
As designated parking areas reached full capacity, many devotees parked vehicles along the roadside, further worsening traffic conditions. Heavy crowd movement toward the Jampanna Vagu for holy dips disrupted both pedestrian and vehicular movement. To ease congestion, police declared several routes as one-way and diverted return traffic through alternate roads. Thousands of police personnel have been deployed, and drone cameras are being used to monitor traffic density. Officials advised devotees to use internal routes suggested by authorities instead of the Mulugu route, warning that travel time may increase by 3 to 4 hours due to heavy rush.
