Hyderabad witnessed yet another wave of Income Tax raids, creating a stir across the city. Early Monday, IT officials launched simultaneous searches at the residences of several well-known hotel owners, chairmen, and directors, covering around 30 locations.
Teams inspected the homes and offices of popular hotel chains including Pista House, Shah Ghouse, and Mehfil, all of which reportedly generate hundreds of crores in annual turnover. Authorities are thoroughly verifying business accounts, financial records, and transactions connected to these establishments.
At Rajendranagar, four IT teams are conducting detailed searches at the residences of Pista House owners Mohammed Majeed and Mohammed Mustan. Initial findings suggest discrepancies between declared income and actual earnings, along with possible hawala links, fake transactions, and other suspicious financial activities.
An official statement from the IT department is expected once the searches conclude.
