A shocking incident occurred at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport when a Korean female tourist was allegedly molested by a ground staff member during routine checks. According to police, the tourist had arrived at the airport on January 19 to board her flight back to Korea. While heading towards the terminal after immigration clearance, ground staff member Mohammad Affan stopped her under the pretext of checking her ticket. He claimed there was noise coming from her check-in luggage and suggested she accompany him for a personal check near the men’s washroom. Despite her objections, the staffer allegedly touched her inappropriately. When the tourist resisted, he left the spot, and she immediately reported the incident to airport authorities.
Airport officials detained the accused and handed him over to the police. Investigations revealed CCTV footage corroborating the tourist’s complaint. A case has been registered, and further inquiry is underway to ensure strict legal action. The police have assured that all necessary measures will be taken to prevent such incidents and safeguard the rights of travelers.
