

Telangana’s first Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed deep grief over the demise of his teacher, noted historian and retired lecturer Dr. Jaishetty Ramanaiah from Jagtial. He recalled that Ramanaiah was not only his teacher but also a very close and respected figure in his life, and described his passing as a personal loss.
KCR remembered his student days when Ramanaiah served as a lecturer in Siddipet and taught him during his intermediate education. In 1971, Ramanaiah worked as a History lecturer at Siddipet Junior and Degree College. Known for starting his teaching career at a young age, he was also the first research scholar from Jagtial to earn a doctorate. He received his PhD for his research work titled “South Indian Temples”. KCR prayed for his soul to rest in peace and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
