During the Telangana Assembly Budget Sessions, CM Revanth Reddy made significant remarks. He raised the question of whether it is appropriate to draw a salary without attending the Assembly proceedings. In this context, he leveled criticism against former Chief Minister KCR, pointing out that the former CM continues to draw a salary despite his absence from the House. He remarked that it is improper for leaders—who are duty-bound to be accountable to the public—to conduct themselves in such a manner.
Continuing on the same theme, the CM highlighted the fact that a substantial salary was drawn without any corresponding attendance in the Assembly. He asserted that it is egregious to accept public funds while failing to attend the House, emphasizing the imperative need to utilize public money with a sense of responsibility. The CM firmly stated that it is incumbent upon public representatives to discharge their duties conscientiously and effectively.
