Indigo effect.. Rs. 1,000 crore loss in Delhi

The ongoing disruptions in IndiGo flight operations have significantly affected Delhi’s economic activity. According to the Chamber of Trade and Industry, the city’s business, tourism, and industrial sectors have incurred losses estimated at nearly Rs. 1,000 crore in recent days.

Frequent interruptions in flight schedules have caused inconvenience for traders, tourists, and business travelers, limiting their movement.

The Chamber also noted that footfall in Delhi markets has dropped by nearly 25 percent over the last 10 days.

On average, about 1.5 lakh passengers travel through the Delhi airport every day, of whom nearly 50,000 are business travelers, the organization stated.
