Srikakulam, often considered one of the most backward districts of Andhra Pradesh, is now stepping into the national spotlight with a groundbreaking project. The Andhra Pradesh government has signed an MoU with Kings Infra Ventures to establish India’s first AI-driven Maritime Aquaculture Technology Park. With an investment of ₹2,500 crore, the mega park will be developed across 500 acres, transforming Srikakulam into a global hub for modern aquaculture.
The project is expected to create 1,500 direct jobs and 10,000 indirect jobs, offering massive employment opportunities to the youth of Uttarandhra, where fishing is a primary livelihood. Once operational, the park is projected to generate ₹2,000 crore in annual direct exports and ₹20,000 crore in indirect economic value. Additionally, an Aquaculture Skill & Innovation Centre will train and certify 5,000 local youth over five years, turning Srikakulam into a major talent hub for aquaculture professionals. This first-of-its-kind AI-powered aqua park will include shrimp and fish breeding units, indoor water-farming sheds, tank-based growing systems, modern processing centres, a seafood testing lab, and a fully AI-managed smart control room operating on Kings Infra’s BlueTechOS system from Vizag.
The state government has already directed the Srikakulam Collector to identify land quickly. With this project, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has fulfilled his April 2025 promise to develop an aquaculture park under the Matsyakara Seva scheme, marking a historic moment for Srikakulam.
