The Hyderabad Police have issued stringent rules for New Year events across the city. Hotels with 3-star rating and above, pubs, and clubs hosting ticketed events must obtain police approval at least 15 days in advance. Events are permitted only until 1:00 AM. CCTV cameras are mandatory at entry, exit points, and parking areas, along with adequate security personnel to manage traffic and ensure safety. Dance, attire, or language must be appropriate, and outdoor sound systems should be switched off by 10 PM. Indoor halls may operate sound up to 1:00 AM but must not exceed 45 decibels. Weapons are strictly prohibited, and tickets must not exceed venue capacity. Special parking arrangements should avoid traffic disruptions, and minors are not allowed in pubs or bars. Zero tolerance is enforced for drugs and narcotics, with responsibility on the organizers. Alcohol sale beyond permitted excise hours is banned, and transportation for guests served alcohol must be ensured by the management. Use of firecrackers is fully prohibited, and fire safety rules must be strictly followed. Organizers are fully responsible for any incidents.
Additional mandatory warnings include strict action against drunk driving, with the legal alcohol limit at 30 mg/100 ml of blood. Violations attract fines up to ₹10,000 or 6 months imprisonment, and suspension or cancellation of driving licenses for 3 months. If minors drive, the vehicle owner is liable. Tampering with silencers, over-speeding, and illegal racing will face strict penalties. SHE teams are on alert to protect women, and the “Designated Driver” concept is emphasized to ensure one person stays sober and everyone reaches home safely.
