The High Court has issued key interim orders restraining Hydra from carrying out demolitions until it submits proper procedures and guidelines. The court clarified that no action should be taken against alleged illegal or unauthorized constructions without a defined framework. However, restoration works related to lakes, water bodies, drains, parks, and public roads may continue.
During the hearing of a petition filed by a farmer from Ameenpur mandal, the court expressed concern over demolitions carried out without prior notice. It observed that Hydra failed to follow standard procedures in several cases and stressed the need for clear operational guidelines. The court also ordered status quo on the lands in Ilapur village until further proceedings.
