

For the past two days, heavy rains have been occurring in Andhra Pradesh. Due to a weakening severe cyclone in the Bay of Bengal, the intensity of rainfall is expected to be higher in the Nellore and Tirupati regions. Strong winds continue along the coast. Authorities have warned fishermen not to venture into the sea. Third-level alerts have been issued for the ports in South Coast, first-level alerts for the ports in North Coast, and a second-level danger warning for Kakinada. Heavy rains are also occurring in Tirumala.
The severe cyclone Ditva has intensified into a storm. As a result, heavy downpours have been reported in Tirumala. Landslides have occurred on the Ghat road, and authorities have closed the routes to the Sri Vari Padalu and Papanasam paths. According to the Meteorological Department, more heavy rains are expected in Nellore and Tirupati districts over the next two days. The severe cyclone is also continuing near Chennai.
