Three new lift irrigation schemes are set to become operational in the state soon. The Jakora, Chandur, and Chintakunta projects have been constructed on the main canal of the Nizamsagar project in the undivided Nizamabad district at an estimated cost of ₹106.04 crore. With these schemes ready for launch, irrigation facilities for farmers are expected to improve significantly.
Through these projects, around 7,975 acres of agricultural land in Varni, Chandur, and Mosra mandals will receive adequate water supply. Irrigation Minister N.
