

The Telangana government has taken another important step for students studying in government schools. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that from the next academic year, all government school students will receive free shoes and belts. The government is already providing two sets of free school uniforms and the Chief Minister approved the education department’s proposal to include shoes and belts as well.
With this decision, around 20 lakh students studying in government schools across the state will benefit. The Chief Minister also instructed officials to give priority to girls in the first phase of admissions to the newly built Young India Integrated Residential Schools. In addition, he directed that breakfast should be provided to students from Class 1 to Class 10 in government schools.
