A food poisoning incident at a tribal ashram school in Devarapalli of Polavaram district has caused panic. On the first day, around 80 students fell ill and on the following day, six more students showed symptoms of food poisoning. As the issue continued for two days, officials became alert.
Since last night, the students have been suffering from vomiting, loose motions and stomach pain. As their condition worsened, school staff shifted the affected students to Rampachodavaram hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reacted strongly to the incident. He instructed officials to ensure proper medical care for all students and asked them to take necessary steps immediately. He also ordered an inquiry to find out the reason behind the food poisoning.
