A major mishap was narrowly avoided at Jeddah Airport when a Saudi Airlines SV340 (Boeing 777-300) aircraft was hit by a flock of birds during landing.The aircraft’s nose section sustained minor damage, and bird blood stains were visible on the exterior. The pilot assessed the situation, confirmed the aircraft’s condition as safe to land, and completed the landing without incident.
Fortunately, no passengers or crew members were injured. Officials stated that if the birds had entered the engine, it could have led to a serious accident.
