

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Forest and Environment, Shri Pawan Kalyan, called upon corporates and citizens to actively participate in wildlife conservation. During his visit to the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam, he emphasized that wildlife protection is vital for environmental balance and long-term sustainability. He stated that zoological parks play a crucial role in conserving endangered species and urged corporate participation in zoo development initiatives.
Marking the birthday of his mother, Smt. Anjana Devi, Shri Pawan Kalyan adopted two giraffes at the Visakhapatnam Zoo and announced that he would bear their maintenance expenses for one year. He reviewed animal enclosures and welfare measures and interacted with forest officials regarding further development. Later, he visited the Kambalakonda Eco Park, inaugurated an urban forest, and undertook a canopy walk, reiterating the need for collective responsibility in protecting nature.
