Bengaluru has achieved a major milestone by securing the 16th spot in the list of the world’s top technology hubs. With this, it has become the first Indian city to enter the global Top-30 tech cities list. The rankings were released by global real-estate consultancy Savills India, which noted the rising global interest in Asian tech markets.
While San Francisco and New York continue to dominate the top global positions, Bengaluru - often called the Silicon Valley of India - is rapidly strengthening its international presence. A vast talent pool, a strong tech ecosystem, and thriving startup and IT sectors have been identified as the key drivers behind the city’s growth.
Savills India Managing Director Arvind Nandan stated, “Cities with skilled human resources, vibrant culture, and strong business opportunities naturally evolve into global tech innovation hubs. Bengaluru has the potential to climb even higher.” The report also mentioned that rising developments in AI, semiconductors, and biotech across Asia, including Singapore and Seoul, are reshaping global tech dynamics. Bengaluru’s tech growth is expected to boost demand for premium office and residential spaces in the coming years.
