Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has lashed out at the country's interim leader Yunus. She alleged that his rule has led to violence, fear and chaos in a once peaceful Bangladesh. Speaking at the South Asian Foreign Correspondents' Club event in Delhi, she said that the situation in the country has become very bad.
Hasina said that after the conspiracy in August last year, repression has increased across the country and freedom has disappeared. She criticized that institutions have become weak and communal forces are being stirred. Violence and sexual harassment against women have increased sharply and the country is filled with fear. She called on the people to fight unitedly to save the constitution, restore democracy and end the violent rule in this time of crisis.
