The auspicious dates for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu have been officially confirmed. The event will be conducted from July 23 to August 3, 2027, spanning 12 sacred days during which lakhs of devotees will perform holy dips, rituals, and traditional offerings at various ghats along the Godavari River.
The preparations for the Pushkaralu have begun well in advance. The Central Government has already allocated Rs100 crore specifically for the smooth and grand conduct of the festival. These funds will be used for ghat development, sanitation facilities, road expansions, transport coordination, medical camps, and temporary infrastructure required during the festival.
Authorities plan to improve upon the arrangements made during the previous Pushkaralu. Given the expected heavy inflow of pilgrims, special focus will be laid on traffic management, crowd control, riverbank safety, water quality, and round-the-clock security.
The government is also considering enhanced digital support for pilgrims, including special mobile apps for real-time updates, online services, and information helplines.
With coordinated efforts from both the Central and State governments, the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu are expected to be conducted on a grand scale with improved facilities and better management.
