Adulterated Ghee Used In Tirumala Prasadam Preparation: SIT

The CBI-led Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted on the directions of the Supreme Court, has confirmed that adulterated ghee was used in the preparation of Tirumala Laddu Prasadam during the previous YSRCP government’s tenure. The SIT stated that the supplied material was not genuine cow ghee, but a chemically processed mixture made using palm oil. The investigation revealed that Bhole Baba Dairy, the key supplier, neither owned cows nor procured milk, and lacked the capacity to produce real ghee. The fake ghee was reportedly supplied to TTD through AR Dairy and Vaishnavi Dairy.

The SIT stated that TTD officials, former government representatives, and ghee suppliers allegedly colluded in a systematic conspiracy, severely impacting the faith of crores of Lord Venkateswara devotees. A detailed final charge sheet has been filed before the Nellore ACB Court, outlining evidence related to tender manipulation, import of palm oil, procurement of chemicals, production of fake ghee, and the roles played by individuals involved. The investigation provides a comprehensive account of how the adulteration was executed and who benefited from the violations.
