Over the years, we’ve seen re-releases of many star heroes’ blockbusters — but Venkatesh was the only one lagging behind in that trend. His fans had been demanding for a long time that some of his classics — like Bobbili Raja, Kalisundam Raa, and Jayam Manadera — be re-released. But producer Suresh Babu never took that step, probably considering things from a business perspective. While his reasoning made sense commercially, fans’ emotions also deserved attention.
At last, the moment his fans have been waiting for has arrived! As a New Year’s gift, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav will hit theatres on January 1st next year.
This will surely be a special and nostalgic moment, because Nuvvu Naaku Nachav has a massive cult following. It’s not just an entertainer loved by Venkatesh’s fans — even today, lakhs (if not crores) of family audiences watch it on TV and YouTube. This movie showcased Trivikram Srinivas’s strength in blending comedy with emotion. Though it was directed by Vijay Bhaskar, credit for the film’s witty and emotional dialogues largely goes to the “word magician” Trivikram.
Produced by Sravanthi Ravikishore under the Suresh Productions banner, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav ran for 100 days in theatres — an impressive feat, especially during a time dominated by commercial action films.
Now, as Venkatesh is set to begin a new project with Trivikram Srinivas as director for the first time, re-releasing Nuvvu Naaku Nachav feels like a trip back in time — a perfect celebration of the film’s 25-year legacy.
Venkatesh’s impeccable comic timing, Aarthi Agarwal’s charm, Koti’s evergreen songs, the flawless performances of comedy actors, and the heart-touching emotions — there’s so much to talk about that one could fill an entire book with its highlights.
For the younger generation who have only watched it on television, Nuvvu Naaku Nachav will be a big-screen experience worth cherishing!
