The documentary “Ziindaagi In Two Shades,” produced under the Omshiel Productions banner, has received an overwhelming response from audiences, says filmmaker Dolly Tomar. For Dolly, filmmaking is not just a profession but a deeply personal journey, and the documentary reflects her sensitive portrayal of human emotions and relationships. The film traces the inspiring life journey of Iftekhar Sharif, India’s first Overseas Citizen of India, capturing his meaningful life between two countries and cultures.
The documentary draws inspiration from Iftekhar’s humanitarian work in Chicago, where he has helped undocumented Indians return safely to their homeland. Hyderabad, a city closely connected to his roots and emotions, was chosen as the premiere venue. Directed with subtlety by Rajneesh Dubey, edited by Devu Namdev, and enriched with background music composed by Dolly Tomar herself, the film has been produced by Khurram Saeed and Kalpana Rajput. The documentary has been receiving appreciation from international film platforms and audiences alike, once again proving that emotions transcend borders.
