In another twenty-five days, Mass Jathara is set to release. This action entertainer, which has faced several postponements so far, has finally locked October 31st as its release date — a huge relief for everyone involved. There’s not much competition that day either, apart from the re-release of Baahubali: The Epic and Aryan starring Vishnu Vishal. But that doesn’t mean Ravi Teja has a completely clear road ahead. The team urgently needs to build more buzz, and promotions are going to play a crucial role in that. Since director Kishore Tirumala is heading abroad, Ravi Teja has already started giving a few interviews as part of his promotional responsibility.
Regardless of how much hype the film currently has, the unit is reportedly very positive about certain aspects. Especially the action sequences in the second half and the flashback episode, which they believe will thoroughly entertain audiences. The grandfather-grandson track between Rajendra Prasad and Ravi Teja is said to deliver both humor and emotional depth, appealing strongly to family audiences. In the first half, Sri Leela’s romantic track, Bheems’ energetic songs, and Ravi Teja’s trademark police-uniform comedy are expected to provide good entertainment, while from the interval to the climax, the narrative reportedly races ahead with intensity.
The team urgently needs a viral song from Mass Jathara. If a chartbuster like Jinthaak Jinthaak from Dhamaka catches on with the public, it could significantly boost the film’s openings. Composer Bheems has apparently delivered two such potential hits, and the team is preparing to release them at the right time.
For producer Naga Vamsi, the success of Mass Jathara is especially critical. The failure of Kingdom and distribution losses from War 2 have caused major setbacks. If Mass Jathara clicks, it could put him back on track. Interestingly, just two and a half months after Mass Jathara’s release, Ravi Teja is set to return with another film titled Bhartha Mahashayulu Ki Vignapthi (tentative title), slated for a Sankranti release.
