Actress Radhika Apte has opened up about the emotional distress actresses can face after intimate scenes from films are leaked. In a recent interview, she recalled a disturbing incident from her career when an intimate scene from one of her films was leaked. She said the incident affected her so deeply that she could not step out of her home for four days. The reactions of people around her, including her stylist’s driver and her apartment watchman, made her feel frightened and uncomfortable.

Radhika said that while living alone in her apartment, she would become anxious whenever the doorbell rang, fearing that someone might have come to confront or criticise her. During that difficult period, she spoke to her driver and spot boy about the situation and asked them to support and protect her if they were comfortable doing so. Their support helped her regain a sense of safety. She also revealed that on another occasion, concerns about her family’s safety forced her to walk away from a project she genuinely wanted to do. Radhika said she felt ashamed of herself for making a decision out of fear, as she had never wanted fear to dictate her choices.
