

Tamil superstar and TVK chief Thalapathy Vijay has announced a major decision, officially bidding farewell to his acting career. He confirmed that Jananayagan will be his final film. Vijay made this announcement during the grand audio launch event of the movie held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With his full focus now on politics, Vijay stated that this film marks the end of his cinematic journey. The massive fan turnout at the event created history, earning a place in the Malaysia Record Book.
Addressing fans emotionally, Vijay said he entered cinema dreaming of building a small house with sand, but his fans gifted him a palace with their love and support. He expressed gratitude to audiences who stood by him for years and announced that he would dedicate the next 30 years of his life to public service. Vijay emphasized that his decision to quit films is driven by his commitment to serve the people through politics. After founding the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in 2024, he has already confirmed his full-fledged participation in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
