Sunny Leone Receives CID Notice in Kannada Event Probe

The CID has intensified its investigation into Shivam Associates, a Belagavi-based firm facing allegations of collecting illegal cash deposits from customers. As part of the probe, authorities are preparing to issue notices to several actors who participated in a Kannada cultural event organised by the company in December last year. Actors Daali Dhananjaya, Vasishta Simha, Sapthami Gowda and Ragini Dwivedi are expected to be questioned regarding payments received for the event.

In the same case, Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has also been served a CID notice. Investigators found records indicating that she was paid ₹1 crore for appearing in a special song in the film “Champion,” produced by Shivam Associates owner Shivanand Neelannavar. The CID has sought clarification regarding the payment as it continues to examine financial transactions and fund sources linked to the ongoing investigation.
