

The stage is set for the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2026, with the organisers officially unveiling the nominations for films released in 2025. Covering Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada cinema, the prestigious awards celebrate outstanding performances and technical excellence across South Indian film industries. The grand awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 11 and 12.
Among the Telugu films, Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni and starring Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, emerged as the frontrunner with 11 nominations. The fantasy adventure film, which grossed over ₹140 crore at the box office, leads the race this year. It is followed by Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh's family entertainer Sankranthiki Vasthunam with 10 nominations. Naga Chaitanya's Thandel and the critically acclaimed small-budget film Court secured nine nominations each, making them strong contenders across multiple categories.
