‘Baahubali The Epic’ is not just a re-release. It’s a reimagined version of India’s biggest cinematic saga, merging Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion into one grand feature. The film is set for a worldwide release on October 31, across premium large formats like IMAX, Dolby Vision, 4DX, D-Box, and EpiQ.
Ever since the announcement, there’s been immense curiosity about its runtime. Many wondered if it would be close to five hours long. To clarify, producer Shobu Yarlagadda shared exclusive details.
“We trimmed a few scenes, songs, and transitions to make it a tighter theatrical experience,” Shobu revealed. “The film’s runtime is about 3 hours 40 to 3 hours 42 minutes. The first half covers The Beginning, and the second half continues with The Conclusion. The iconic moment, ‘Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali,’ now serves as the interval point.”
For fans, the long runtime won’t be a problem. Interestingly, Baahubali The Epic is slightly shorter than Pushpa 2: The Rule (3 hours 44 minutes), making it one of the lengthiest films in recent times.
