Ramya Krishnan’s Fierce Look in ‘David Reddy’ Grabs Attention

Manchu Manoj’s upcoming period action drama David Reddy, directed by Hanuma Reddy Yakkandi, is set against the backdrop of British rule and revolves around a daring revolution before India’s independence. The film features Russian actress Maria Ryaboshapka, known for Prince, as well as veteran actress Ramya Krishnan in a key role. On her birthday, the makers unveiled a powerful poster introducing her character Kamala Reddy and extended their wishes. They indicated that her portrayal would be even more intense than her iconic Sivagami role in Baahubali.

The newly released poster shows Ramya Krishnan sitting on a chair with an intense expression and holding a large sword, surrounded by bloodshed and bodies. The makers captioned the poster, “She fears no battlefield; the battlefield fears her,” further raising expectations for the film. Samuthirakani and Bollywood actor Abhay Deol also play key roles. Produced by Velvet Sound and True Redix, the film is being made on a grand scale and is planned for release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
