With paid premieres in India on October 30 and abroad on October 29, Baahubali: The Epic, a remastered and re-edited version that combines Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, will be released in theaters on October 31. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, and SS Rajamouli had an open discussion about the creation and legacy of the franchise prior to its release.
Prabhas questioned Rajamouli during their conversation, regarding the duration of the movie and the changes made to this version. The two original sections, which together lasted approximately five and a half hours, have been condensed to roughly three hours and forty-five minutes, Rajamouli disclosed. Songs like Paccha Bottesina, Kanna Nidurinchara, and Manohari, as well as the Sivudu and Avantika love track, are among the main parts that have been cut out. Although Rajamouli promised that the emotional depth and significant moments would not be altered, some war scenes were also cut.
In response to rumors that there would be more scenes, Rajamouli explained that there would only be a brief intercut showing Nassar and a soldier during Sivudu's entrance into Maahishmati. He also disclosed that a preview of the upcoming animated film, Baahubali: The Eternal War, which is helmed by Ishan Shukla and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, will be shown during the break in Baahubali: The Epic. The next movie, which was produced with a ₹12 crore budget, will be released in 2027.
