Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi’s latest song “Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke” has triggered widespread debate on social media, with netizens criticizing its lyrics and dance moves as inappropriate. The controversy intensified as several users alleged that certain lines in the song carried double meanings, leading to backlash against lyricist Rakeeb Alam.
Responding to the criticism, Rakeeb Alam clarified in an interview that he had not written the song entirely on his own. He stated that director Prem had asked him to translate an existing Kannada version into Hindi. Despite initially refusing due to concerns over objectionable content and possible censor issues, he eventually complied with the team’s request. As the controversy escalated, reports suggest that the Hindi version has been removed from YouTube, though discussions around the song continue to trend online.
