Movie Lovers’ Weekend Sorted.. Big Releases in Theatres and on OTT

Several films are set to hit theatres on September 18, offering Telugu audiences a diverse mix of genres. ‘Hanuman Ansh’, which emerged as a surprise blockbuster and reportedly crossed ₹250 crore at the box office, is set to release in Telugu. Starring Shobhit Srivastava in the lead, the film is presented by Trivikram. The comedy entertainer ‘Anumana Pakshi’, starring Raghu Mayur and Merin Philip, and the spy thriller ‘Secret Soldier’, featuring Nihal Kodati and Surya Srinivas, are also scheduled for release. Horror thriller ‘418’, presented by Prashanth Neel, crime thriller ‘Daayra’, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kareena Kapoor, and the women-centric drama ‘Happy Journey’ are also arriving in theatres.

The OTT space is equally packed with new releases this week. Netflix is set to stream titles including ‘Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story’, ‘The Fixers: Season 1’, ‘Not a Stranger’, ‘Modaraathiri’, ‘Irumudi’, ‘Lust Stories 3’, ‘Best of the Best’, ‘Sinners’ and ‘Stranger Things: Tales 85 Season 2’. Amazon Prime will premiere ‘Neegli’ on September 16, while ‘Husharu Pittalu’ is already streaming. JioHotstar will bring ‘Leekornins: The Mummy’ on September 17 and Malayalam-Telugu film ‘Thudakkam’ on September 18.
