‘I’ve Been a Spider-Man Fan Since Childhood’: Rishab Shetty

National Award-winning actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty has opened up about his childhood admiration for Spider-Man. Ahead of the release of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, Rishab appeared in a special Marvel promotional video in which he shared his long-standing connection with the superhero. Recalling watching a Spider-Man film for the first time at a single-screen theatre years ago, the ‘Kantara’ star said he immediately connected with Peter Parker. According to Rishab, the character taught him that one should hold on to goodness despite mistakes and hardships, while the idea that great power comes with great responsibility has remained particularly meaningful to him.

Rishab added that his love for Spider-Man has continued over the years and has now been passed on to his children, who are also fans of the superhero. He said he had already booked tickets to watch ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ with his family in theatres. Starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man, the film is scheduled to release in India on July 30 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
