Malayalam megastar Mammootty is known for experimenting with different roles and stories in cinema. However, when it comes to personal finances and investments, the actor reportedly prefers to take a cautious approach. His chartered accountant, Sanil Kumar, revealed these details during a podcast. Kumar, who has been associated with the financial audits of both Mammootty and Mohanlal for nearly 30 years, said the actor is not particularly interested in launching large businesses or making high-risk investments. Unlike many celebrities who expand into different business ventures, Mammootty reportedly prefers investing in relatively stable assets such as land.
However, Mammootty is not completely away from business ventures. Sanil Kumar explained that the actor invested in a maternity care-related startup along with his daughter Surumi and son-in-law, Dr Mohammed Rehan Sayeed. The company was later acquired by a foreign firm, reportedly generating good returns for its shareholders. Apart from such selective investments, Mammootty has little interest in building a large business empire, Kumar added. He also praised the actor's understanding of wealth preservation and financial management. On the professional front, Mammootty is set to appear in ‘Padayatra’ and Dhanush's upcoming film ‘Om’.
