Big-Budget Films Gear Up for a Sankranti Box Office Clash

The excitement surrounding the 2027 Sankranti movie season has already begun, with major projects from Telugu cinema and other film industries preparing for a festive release. Films such as ‘Kaka’, ‘Sambarala Yetigattu’, ‘Mahakali’ and ‘Georgikrish’ have already been announced for the Sankranti season. Adding to the competition, Tamil filmmaker Pa. Ranjith’s upcoming film ‘Vettuvam’ is also targeting a festive release. With films featuring diverse storylines and genres entering the race, the box-office battle is expected to be an exciting one. Producers are already planning their releases to attract audiences during the holiday season.

Starring Arya, Sobhita Dhulipala and V.R. Dinesh in key roles, ‘Vettuvam’ is produced by Learn and Teach Productions and Neelam Productions. The recently released ‘World of Vettuvam’ glimpse has drawn attention for featuring voice-overs by popular actors in different languages. Rana Daggubati lent his voice to the Telugu version, Soubin Shahir to the Malayalam version and Kichcha Sudeep to the Kannada version. This multilingual promotion has further raised interest in the film across the country. With Telugu-rooted stories and big-budget action films set to compete during the festive season, all eyes will be on which film emerges as the box-office winner.
