Ilaiyaraaja Launches ‘Manjanathi’ Shooting

Mani Selvaraj, known for his distinctive storytelling and unconventional concepts in Tamil cinema, is set to entertain audiences with his upcoming film ‘Manjanathi’. The emotional, women-centric drama stars Priyanka Mohan and Kayadu Lohar as the female leads, while Kathir and Ponvel will appear in key roles. The film features music by legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja and is produced on a grand scale by Sushanth Prasad under the Fortune Entertainments banner.

The film’s shooting has officially commenced following a grand pooja ceremony. Ilaiyaraaja, who attended the event as the chief guest, gave the first clap and switched on the camera to mark the beginning of the shoot. The entire team appeared in classy cream-and-white outfits at the event, while Mani Selvaraj shared pictures from the ceremony on X. He also unveiled a poster featuring a girl in a yellow saree and floral garland surrounded by mysterious shapes, instantly raising curiosity about the film.
